About the Role
As a QA Technician, you'll be the go-to resource for technical inspections, data analysis, and cross-functional quality support. You'll lead metrology activities including CMM programming and inspection, monitor incoming and outgoing part quality, and take a proactive role in resolving non-conformances. You'll also work closely with production, engineering, and customers to ensure our quality systems are followed and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
Perform receiving, in-process, outgoing, and final inspections using manual and digital inspection tools
Program, operate, and maintain CMMs, optical systems, and specialized mechanical gages
Analyze inspection data to identify trends and support SPC, capability studies, and quality improvements
Initiate and investigate NCRs; recommend or implement corrective actions
Make disposition decisions for product quality: proceed, hold, quarantine, or escalate
Liaise with customer QA reps by email, phone, or in-person to support inspections and documentation needs
Maintain calibration records and conduct internal gage calibrations as needed
Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP documentation for customer submissions
Provide guidance and clarification to shop floor personnel on drawing and quality requirements
Recommend updates to QMS documents and participate in quality planning reviews
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality or QA Engineering
Relevant QA/QC or Machining College Program Completion an Asset.
Proficiency with precision measurement tools and CMM programming (CMM Manager or similar)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 systems and documentation processes
Strong analytical and documentation skills for data-driven decision making
Comfortable interfacing with cross-functional teams and external customer reps
ERP knowledge (ProShop experience an asset)
