Quality Assurance Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team and enhance our quality control processes.
The Quality Assurance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This position requires strong knowledge of GD&T principles and the ability to effectively use various quality tools and methodologies to support our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Utilize GD&T principles to assess and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform dimensional measurements using various tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
Identify and document non-conformities, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, and work instructions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Implement and follow quality control procedures while maintaining accurate records of inspections and testing results.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality concerns effectively.
Provide support in the implementation of quality improvement projects, utilizing tools like Six Sigma, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
Assist in training team members on quality standards and practices to ensure a consistent approach to quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or relevant certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Technician in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Proficiency in using quality measurement tools and techniques.
Experience with quality management systems and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Familiarity with CMM operations and programming is a plus.
Location: Cambridge, ON
Hourly Rate: $25 - $30
