Job Title Quality Assurance Technician






































Overview: Reporting to a Quality Assurance Team Lead, the QA Technician will provide exceptional support as an important contributor to the Quality Assurance team. As a critical quality function, this role will be responsible to drive, support and maintain the day-to-day operations of quality functions. In this role, the quality assurance technician will support the team lead to complete batch records, use critical thinking to problem solve and provide feedback to the operational team.

Scope of Role:

  • Review operational and quality assurance documentation related to further processing and packaging
  • Use critical thinking and process understanding to aid in problem solving
  • Lead facility wide training activities related to Quality
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of production and operations
  • Responsible for batch release for all further processing and packaging products
  • Direct communication with operations teams \xe2\x80\x93 technicians, leads and Operation\xe2\x80\x99s Managers
  • Collaborate with and support operational teams on process improvements and continuous learning
  • Create and review certificates of manufacturing for all further processing and packaging products
  • Create, review, and approve Certificates of Analysis for any cannabis related shipments
  • Assist in writing, reviewing, and maintaining SOPs, and projects to ensure compliance under the Cannabis Act and GDP/GPP Regulations
  • Review and approve packaging label orders and verify content upon arrival
  • Responsible for management of documentation related to further processing and packaging activities.
  • Provide quality support during regulatory inspections and third-party audits.
  • Review, and trend data related to operational and quality events
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by QA leadership team


Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 year of relevant experience is required in Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology/Food Science/Pharmacy other related science
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, pharmaceuticals, food, and/or NHP manufacturing
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Preventative Control Plans, and Regulatory Submissions will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills
