Position Summary

We are currently seeking a

Quality Assurance Technician

to join our Nisku facility.

As a QA technician, you will monitor various processes to ensure we meet the regulatory body (CFIA, FDA) guidelines, ensuring the highest quality of safely made, tasty food that meets the company's set standards, ensuring a great experience for our customers. You will report to the FSQA Manager and work closely with the production, shipping, and receiving teams to uphold our FSQA, including all GMP and SOP requirements for production and shipment. This will involve quantitative measurements, product sampling, inspection of materials, equipment, and the production facility. This will include observation of the production process for compliance.

Responsibilities

Be involved in all aspects of QC activities to ensure high-quality product production. This will include receiving, production, and shipping. Record keeping of tasks and monitoring documents Performs onsite monitoring and verification of PRP, PCP, CCPs, and product specifications Ensures production staff comply with company policies and programs Perform pre-operation after sanitation checks and report deficiencies. Perform required swabbing Maintain concise communication with management and alert management immediately when deviations occur Complete hold/release duties Completes microbiological swabbing and sampling Monitor GMP compliance

Qualifications

Work experience in the food service industry Basic understanding of HACCP principles Experience in GMP requirements and good understanding of Food Service quality requirements A team player who can work with others and is willing to follow directions. Is independent and can work with a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment (AM/PM shift and weekends). Needs to be proactive and assertive to seek compliance. Requires basic computer skills A bachelor's degree or a technical diploma in science/food science, or agriculture is an asset

Hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and education.
