We are looking for a responsible

Quality Assurance & Control Technician

to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. Although in-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential, we are willing to train the right individual.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ensures our products and their manufacturing processes meet food quality and safety standards. Takes responsibility in making sure the workers follow the guidelines related to SQF, GMP, and HACCP. Ensures process guidelines are followed effectively and safely. Checks incoming & outgoing product quality as per the standards. Communicates to Management when there is any problem with incoming material. Monitors SQF, GMP and HACCP Programs and performs record keeping. Inspects packaging, storage, and shipping facilities for conformance to company sanitation and safety standards. Performs Microbial testing. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of production capacity. Ensures products are kept at proper temperatures during production and while in storage, preserving product quality. Completes documentation provided by HACCP Program on a daily basis. Maintains prompt and courteous response to production team requests within the guidelines set forth by the company Other duties as required.

Education/Requirements:

Experience in the food or meat processing industries considered an asset Proficient skills in MS Office applications ( Word, Excel, and Outlook) Ability to work independently, and as part of a team Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing Must be success-driven and have a "can do" attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
