Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Truro, NS. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality of our products, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service and products to our clients.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough quality inspections of products to ensure compliance with standards. Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols throughout the manufacturing process. Analyze data collected from inspections to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly. Utilize calipers and other measuring tools for precise quality control. Document findings and prepare reports on quality metrics. Assist in training staff on quality management practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as CFIA, HACCP and GMP.

Qualifications

A 2-year diploma in areas of health sciences, engineering or certified quality technician (CQT) from a recognized body such as American Society for Quality). Proven experience in quality assurance or a related field for at least 1 year but will consider engineering and science backgrounds. Six Sigma experience and accreditation an asset. Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies. Familiarity with QA/QC processes and standards. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes is an asset. Proficiency in using measuring tools, testing equipment, statistical analysis, SPC and the use of quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, Pareto, FEMA, etc.)
