Job Description

Exceldor Cooperative, an Award-Winning, long-standing company seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Team at the Blumenort Plant location for a term position. As the Quality Assurance Technician, you will work with Management and QA to ensure Exceldor product meet regulatory and SQF requirements. This is a full-time position reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Monday to Friday. Regular work hours 6:00pm-2:30am.

Qualifications:

Post secondary education, diploma/certificate in a science-related discipline or completion of Grade 12 with min 3 years of relevant experience,

Food production experience is an asset.

Experience working in a continuous improvement environment is an asset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)

Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring finished product comply with Exceldor and customer specifications.

Conducting pre-operational verifications and environmental sampling

Food safety and animal welfare monitoring, verification, documenting and communicating results to the management team.

Ensuring that staff responsible for quality control is trained.

Lab duties as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Expected hours: 40 per week
