EV Logistics is currently seeking a

Quality Assurance Supervisor

to join the team. This individual will work closely with the Inventory Control and Quality teams and report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Shift:

Sunday to Thursday, Day Shift (07:00AM - 03:30PM). May be some requirements to occasionally work an Afternoon & Night Shift.

Position will provide coverage for vacations, so flexibility is required

What You'll Do:



Maintain SQF System, SFCR program and perform HACCP plan development. Conduct Monthly SQF and HACCP meetings. Perform Internal Daily & monthly audits and complete reports. Follow up and move forward with corrective actions identified during monthly internal and external audits. Investigates HACCP and SQF non-compliance and deviations through root cause and risk analysis and the application of corrective and preventative actions. Work with the Inventory control supervisor to conduct mock recalls and traceability exercises and assist the Management team in case of a recall. Perform food safety weekly training, including onboarding for supervisors Investigate customer complaints and perform corrective actions. When product quality at arrival does not meet the appropriate standards, communicate a recommendation to reject the purchase order immediately to the buyers for a possible alternate disposition. Oversee continued administration of the Food Safety Standards, including ensuring processes and procedures are followed as intended, proper documentation is completed, and audits/inspections are scheduled. Compile records for reporting vendor performance at the branch on quality and service levels and participate in vendor reviews when required. Assist the Warehouse Manager with developing and reviewing product quality specifications. Work with Warehouse Team Leaders and Inventory Control regarding any inconsistencies with inventory or rotation (FIFO)

Qualifications:



A Bachelor's Degree in Food Science and Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of relevant experience. Food industry experience is strongly preferred. HACCP certification is required. A growing professional with 2-3 years of direct involvement with Food Distribution being seen as an asset. A subject matter expert with knowledge about Shipping/Receiving/Loading in a grocery warehouse setting is considered an asset. You will have experience in HACCP, quality assurance and goods distribution practices, SFCR, and SQF audits. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook. An excellent communicator who has a focus on utilizing both written and oral communication skills both with your team and within the management team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $68,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
