Our expectations:

Reporting to the DC Operations Support & Planning Manager, the Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises a high-performing team responsible for maintaining product quality, flow, and accuracy within warehouse management systems (WMS). The QA Supervisor ensures proper setup and safety standards within the Distribution Centres (DCs). The position also works to carefully maintain compliant processing of freight claims, returns, and store services relations through records and WMS systems. The QA Supervisor will support all facilities within the region, mentor and provide leadership to the QA team.

*Location: Calgary and Rocky View Distribution Centers

*Shift: Monday to Friday (Day shift)

Your role:

  • Review technical procedures, identify problems, and recommend to management solutions in the areas of quality assurance and warehouse distribution
  • Approve in-process distribution by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests
  • Oversee resolution of logistical issues/vendor compliance by ensuring proper setup quality, and that specifications are met
  • Proactively provide solutions to reoccurring issues by partnering with Supply Chain and vendors
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Authorize freight claims involving the management of damages, quality, and errors in shipment by vendors to DCs
  • Support Appliance Management Coordinators/processes by ensuring scheduled deliveries, accuracy, quality, and customer solutions are met
  • Oversee the dealer return process to manage flow, quality, and accuracy
  • Work with the Supply Chain team to analyze/distribute POs, SKUs, inventory, and demand
  • Assist WMS and Operations team members with product issues (field in-house calls)
  • Action calls from stores to follow up with priority inbound/outbound, special orders, and returns
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
  • Ensure the QA team\'s performance and accuracy
  • Coach, mentor, develop the QA team
  • Monitor other processes to ensure quality; take responsibility for quality
The qualifications we are looking for:
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a quality-assurance-related function in a manufacturing or distribution/warehouse environment
  • Post-secondary education (business administration, supply-chain management) (an asset), or equivalent experience
  • Advanced skills with WMS systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook); experience with Blue Yonder (a strong asset)
  • Experience managing teams of individual contributors
  • Proven team-building, communication and people skills
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and creatively resolve complex problems
  • Effective work-prioritization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
