About the Quality Assurance Specialist role
Alcool NB Liquor is currently undergoing an exciting multi-year business transformation project, including the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our Project Galileo IT team and ensure the quality and reliability of testing practices within our enterprise-wide business transformation program. Reporting to the QA Lead, they are responsible for test planning, execution, defect management, and coordination across functional and technical teams. As the project enters the System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases, the Specialist will support increasingly complex testing scenarios, contribute to team onboarding and training, and drive consistency and continuous improvement across QA practices.
Key Responsibilities
Contributing to the full test lifecycle: planning, design, execution, defect tracking, and closure
Developing and maintain test cases and test scripts
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and alignment with business requirements
Executing functional, regression, and system integration tests across different environments
Supporting reporting and test metrics for test progress, coverage, and defect trends
Assisting in onboarding and training of team members and end-users on testing tools and practices
Participating in release and change management activities to assess impact and readiness
Coordinating testing efforts across business units, technical teams, and external vendors
Technical environment and testing tools
Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Azure DevOps (ADO), SharePoint, Dynamics 365 F&O, Dynamics GP, and Power BI Reporting
Executive Automats, TestRail
Microsoft SQL, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Business application systems, including Warehouse Management software, POS, data warehousing, EDI
What do you need to be successful?
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field
While a formal degree or diploma is preferred, we value practical experience and are open to considering candidates with equivalent experience in lieu of educational qualifications.
Previous experience in software testing or QA, ideally in complex systems or transformation projects
Familiarity with test planning, test case development, and defect management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Executive Automats, TestRail, Selenium, or similar)
Enjoyment in troubleshooting and solving complex issues within a team
Would be an asset if you had:
Experience in ERP implementations, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365
Familiarity with business process testing in areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, or channel sales
Prior involvement in large-scale change or digital transformation programs

Work location:
The Project Galileo Office is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
The successful candidate must be based in New Brunswick, remote work is possible.
Semi-regular travel for meetings and project work may be required.
