Job Description

Terra Labs Inc. is a Kelowna-based cannabis company which operates a 12,000 sq.ft. facility in the Beaver Lake Industrial Park. The Company produces a broad range of premium cannabis products, including vapes, infused pre-rolls, concentrates and dried flower. Terra Labs was founded in 2019 and is privately owned.

Reporting to the ownership team, the QAP is responsible for all items related to Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Regulatory Affairs for all departments including Cultivation and Extraction. Experience in the cannabis industry and Health Canada QAP designation is required.

Roles and Responsibilities



Ensure compliance with the Cannabis Act and Regulations through hands-on management, internal inspections/audits and our SOPs/QMS. Support team with compliance requirements, with follow up and recommendations in areas identified as non-compliant,. Maintain and manage QMS. Write, edit, review and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Preventative Control Plans (PCP) and associated Forms, providing training for team if required. Manage GACP, GMP-DEL and other third party certifications. Ensure Good Documentation Practices on all documents and forms, using the specified Change Control Process, documenting changes accordingly. Execute and manage batch releases in a timely fashion. Review, interpret and manage lab results/CoAs, sharing results with appropriate personnel. Review, manage and file records for all quality-related activities within the GPP facility, including Batch Records, Deviations, Labeling & Packaging, Retention Samples, Sanitation, Storage, etc. Lead Health Canada and other external audits. Assist Operations Manager with shipping and receipt of cannabis products and samples. Assist Operations Manager with Provincial and Territorial board submissions and sales. Manage Vendor Qualification of potential suppliers, labs and manufacturers. Manage actual and mock recall situations. Determine improvements and efficiencies of our processes and systems. Additional duties as required (ie: assisting with packaging, harvest, production, etc).

Qualifications



Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent. Health Canada QAP Designation & Security Clearance. 2-5 years experience in the cannabis industry with knowledge of the Cannabis Act & Regulations. Experience in at least one Health Canada audit and one Canadian Revenue Agency audit. Exceptional attention to detail. Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. Team player with great communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
