As the Quality Assurance Manager in the cannabis industry, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and regulatory compliance within our organization. You will develop and implement quality management systems, establish best practices, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of safety and consistency. Active Health Canada Security Clearance for cannabis and A/QAP approval required.
Responsibilities:
Quality Management Systems:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all quality assurance processes and activities, including product testing, documentation control, and corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) programs.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of provincial, and federal regulations governing cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, testing, and distribution.
Interpret regulatory requirements and ensure that all operations adhere to applicable laws, standards, and guidelines.
Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits and ensure timely responses to findings and recommendations.
Quality Control Testing:
Oversee product testing programs, including sampling, analysis, and validation of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
Review and approve test results and implement appropriate corrective actions for deviations or non-conformities.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quality-related activities, including batch records, certificates of analysis, and quality assurance documentation.
Ensure that all documentation is organized, accessible, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit regulatory filings, notifications, and reports as required.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Foster a culture of quality and compliance throughout the organization by promoting awareness and accountability among employees.
Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to enhance employee competencies and skills.
Continuous Improvement:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of quality assurance programs and initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost savings through data analysis and performance evaluation.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address root causes of quality issues and drive continuous improvement in product quality and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or regulatory compliance, preferably in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated environment.
Health Canada issued Security Clearance, plus A/QAP approval required.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
