Job title: Quality Assurance Intern

Position Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Intern - with very strong computer skills based at our Sterling Road Factory. This role is a great opportunity to lead the brand plans and strategy to bring growth to the category. You will be working daily with cross-functional teams to make your plans come to life with lots of autonomy and support to really thrive. The posting term is for 12 months with the possibility of extending to 16 months depending on performance and project delivery. The successful candidate must also be able to accommodate different shifts and weekends.

A day in the life of a Quality Assurance Intern

As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will be responsible for driving & and sustaining successful change management through supporting food safety and quality function on the production floor, driving engagement across the factory and delivering project goals.

You will also:

  • Provide continuous improvement project support and leadership
  • Work with the food safety and quality lab teams to provide support to production.
  • Create, train, and coach production floor on quality and food safety related topics.
  • Work on food safety and quality related projects as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.

You will also:
  • Be an undergraduate student pursuing degree in Science (Chemicatry, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science), Engineering (Food, Chemical), Food & Nutrition, Food Science, Agriculture, Operations Management (Manufacturing).
  • Maintaining a GPA of a minimum 3.0 and above is considered an asset.
  • Have strong communication, analytical, organizational and inter-personal skills.
  • Have knowledge about LEAN and TPM principles
  • Self-motivated, results focused, agile, innovative, and intellectually curious.
  • Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment.
  • Open to working in factory and prior Internship or work experience in a LEAN/ TPM factory is a plus.
  • Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
