Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector performs required functions using established inspection procedures and methods to ensure product quality. This role ensures all phases of the packaging process will adhere to established procedures and cGMP in order to produce the highest quality product at Jones. The incumbent will be an integral member of the Quality Assurance team and will work closely with Production to ensure the expectation of following established procedures and cGMP is fundamental to enable a culture that places Quality first in operations. Here are some of the different activities you\xe2\x80\x99ll be asked to do:
  • Attend start-up meetings and ensure the specification for each job meets the requirement as specified in the Packaging Order and Purchase Order.
  • Perform line clearance and ensure that the area/room is clear of all previous product and packaging materials. Approve the required QA clearance record.
  • Verify the correct product, packaging material, and/or components by ensuring the correct documentation matches against Packaging Order and QA Sampling Record.
  • Perform in-process sampling and inspection to ensure packaged product conforms to specification.
  • Determine the frequency, sampling, and testing requirements for each production order and provide training to the Operators to assure compliance with sampling and testing plan.
  • Review the in-process results and ensure all results meet the established specification. Address any discrepancies as per procedure and support any product investigation as required in order to determine root cause, CAPAs, and product disposition.
  • Address any issues and escalate as required to ensure appropriate traceability and integrity of the data and information is maintained at all time.
  • Execute all validation sampling and testing plan as defined in the validation protocols. Document and reviews the validation results against the pre-determined acceptance criteria.
  • Responsible for sampling and releasing of all incoming product and all finished product prior to shipping.
If you\xe2\x80\x99ve got:
  • A minimum of a college diploma in a technical or science-related field
  • Additional certification, diploma, or courses in cGMP Quality Assurance or Quality Control or 1-2 years quality experience in a cGMP production environment (an asset)
  • The ability to work a 3-shift rotation schedule.
