CapsCanada is presently looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team.

The Position is in person Monday to Friday 8 hours per day 80% in production 20% office . Additional hours and on-call may be required.

Job Overview:


We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:



Comply with all company policies and procedures and promote culture of quality and continuous improvement. Assist in providing training support, direction, and leadership to the Quality and Finishing team in Production. As needed, schedule Quality Control and Finishing personnel vacation/personal day coverages. As needed, perform returned product evaluation and ensure original product evaluation sheets are completed and returned to the Systems and Inventory Control Analyst. Ensure all raw materials, in-process material, finished capsule boxes, returned products, and rejected products are properly labelled and segregated. Assess damage, if present, on incoming raw materials and provide direction to warehouse personnel. Assist when needed in third party audits (NSF GMP and Food safety, ISO 9001, Government, Customer, etc.) and provide support for any identified corrective actions Work with Production and Maintenance personnel to maintain the K-CAPS facility in an audit-ready condition. Update quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Maintain high quality in the K-CAPS facility (and in the G-CAPS facility when requested) and assist in the resolution of quality issues. Assist in monthly GMP audits and provide recommendations to Quality Supervisor. Accompany pest control company technician during monthly pest inspections for both K-CAPS and G-CAPS plants. Ensure issues are communicated with the Quality Supervisor and corrective actions are implemented Assist in deviations and associated corrective and preventative actions. Assist in Production related deviations. Set up, operate and maintain the filling machine. perform filling trials for both K-CAPS and G-CAPS. Record information in the filling trial forms and communicate results with Quality Supervisors Set up, operate and perform light maintenance for the Visual Inspection Machines (VIM). Maintain specifications and maintenance observations Accompany external calibration company's when scheduled. Report completion, issues and comments to Quality Supervisor. Collect and maintain samples for stability testing; perform testing required, record results and communicate completion, issues, etc. with Quality Supervisor Review temperature monitoring in the warehouse and retain room. Assist in making customer samples when requested. As needed, participate in continuous improvement activities. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Comply with all Company safety rules, Provincial and Federal rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in quality assurance, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred and/or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related role. 1-3 years of experience supervising or overseeing production operations and employees as it relates to quality assurance preferred. Experience in manufacturing preferably Pharma Manufacturing is an asset. Valid G driver's license

Skills:



Skilled in conducting thorough Quality inspections. Strong attention to detail to identify and address quality issues. Strong understanding of Quality Management Principles. Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various departments and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Experience in Quality Control processes Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and high degree of professionalism and integrity Possesses problem solving skills and sound professional judgement
