We are seeking an inspired and enthusiastic
Quality Assurance Coordinator & Technical Support
to join our team. The QA coordinator will ensure that all production garments are of the correct fit, aesthetics and adhere to cleo quality & testing requirements. This position reports to the Manager of Technical and Quality Assurance and is based out of the Home Office, Etobicoke, ON.
This is a contract role for a period of approximately 12 months.
Responsibilities
Evaluate Fabric & Garment Test Reports to ensure they conform to Cleo standards.
Provide recommended care code to vendors for each fabric quality or test report analyzed.
Evaluate all Final Production Samples to ensure they conform to the approved pre-production sample and the product is in-line with our Quality and Testing Standards prior to shipping.
Work closely with the Buying team to ensure the product is correctly interpreted from a fit and technical standpoint.
Measure all samples within areas of responsibility for fit, and production against size specifications to ensure the desired fit is achieved in a timely manner.
Check construction, fit, style details to original sample and compare to company specifications.
Make corrections to specifications and details to achieve desired fit and look.
Clearly communicate via email to the vendor any changes, or corrections that need to be made.
Create fit sketches to aid the vendor in correcting fit issues.
Identify and analyze problems, make sound recommendations and take appropriate action. Follow-up to ensure all production details and specifications are being respected (i.e. corrections made to production) within the timeline and action schedule deadlines.
Support & Cover for fit technicians to balance workload as and when necessary.
Support Buying team to Evaluate Final Audit Reports from vendors and give appropriate recommendations as and when needed.
As & when required, conduct random inspections at stores on specific styles to confirm that production matches the approved sample.
Close co-ordination with the Technical, Buying, and Sourcing teams for the proper implementation of all above.
Maintain positive Vendor relations in conjunction with the Buyers by following up with vendors on all QA related issues.
Requirements
University or college degree related to textile or apparel manufacturing, or an industry related technical knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction and manufacturing processes.
Experience in women's apparel quality assurance, production, testing, patterns etc. an asset.
Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision and time management skills to meet deadlines.
Energetic, extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits.
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
Ability to work with various software (Excel, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, PLM system, etc.)
Good written and verbal communication skills.
