The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:



Quality Assurance & Food Safety Leadership

:

Lead and manage quality assurance initiatives and projects to ensure alignment with company goals and regulatory standards. Develop, implement, and continuously improve QA programs, including HACCP, CFIA, FDA, USDA, and GFSI compliance. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and hazard analyses to identify risks, maintain product integrity, and ensure safe food production. Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement. Prepare detailed reports and present quality metrics to management teams.

HACCP & Compliance Management:



Maintain and update the company's HACCP plan, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and certification requirements. Lead verification and validation activities, internal audits, and regulatory inspections. Stay informed of evolving food safety regulations and implement necessary updates to company procedures.

Documentation & Reporting:



Maintain accurate records of QA programs, audits, corrective actions, and verifications. Ensure documentation is current, traceable, and audit-ready for both internal and third-party reviews.

Training & Culture Development:



Provide training on HACCP principles, food safety policies, and quality standards. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all departments.

Supplier & Vendor Quality:



Partner with suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety requirements. Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to verify ongoing quality performance.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:



Work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and R&D to enhance product quality and safety. Participate in root cause analyses, process improvements, and new product initiatives to maintain WOW! Factor's standards of excellence.

General:



Perform other duties as assigned to support overall quality assurance and company objectives.

What Makes You a Great Match?



Post-secondary diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related field. HACCP Certification required; PCQI, SQF, or equivalent food safety certifications are considered an asset. Minimum 3 years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance. Experience with supplier audits, regulatory inspections, and third-party certification audits. Strong knowledge of CFIA, FDA, USDA, and GFSI standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with QA or ERP systems is an asset. Ability to interpret and apply food safety and quality assurance legislation and standards. Strong analytical, reporting, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience developing and delivering training on HACCP and food safety principles. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
