JOB SUMMARY:
Our cannabis production facility is looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of quality control principles and experience working in a highly regulated industry. As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing our quality assurance program, overseeing product testing, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and oversee a comprehensive quality assurance program, including standard operating procedures, quality control protocols, and testing methodologies
Conduct regular audits of the production process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Maintain systems for tracking and reporting data
Collaborate with other departments, including production and R&D, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Ensure that all products are tested for quality and purity before release to the market
Maintain a thorough understanding of industry regulations and stay up-to-date on changes
Manage all aspects of product testing, including scheduling, sampling, and analysis
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including Canadian and EU Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and third-party testing labs
Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality control issues
Engage with and maintain relationships with quality assurance personnel with Health Canada and within provincial bodies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., chemistry, biology) considered an asset.
At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance management in a regulated industry, preferably in cannabis or food production
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including those related to cannabis testing, packaging, and labeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
