JOB DESCRIPTION:
As Quality Assurance Coordinator, your primary roles will be:
Audit and inspect incoming documentation and landing gears.
Access and review work order packages and instructions for newly opened landing gear repairs; identify life-limited items requiring replacement.
Ensure all work packages are properly signed off by production as they progress through each stage of the repair process.
Audit and inspect incoming work from subcontractors (e.g., chrome plating, CAD plating) for quality and compliance.
Verify that all subcomponent serial numbers match customer records and documentation.
Check and confirm service bulletin compliance status for each incoming landing gear.
Perform final inspections, sign Form 1 as a SCA and ensure proper documentation of life-limited part replacements.
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer requirements, manpower availability, and material readiness.
Monitor ongoing maintenance and repair work to ensure timelines, quality, and safety standards are met.
Coordinate repair activities across departments, ensuring the timely flow of components, tools, and documentation to support maintenance operations.
Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and operations to allocate resources and resolve issues during the repair process.
Coordinate with procurement, inventory, and purchasing teams to ensure availability of parts and tools.
Track and report production status, identifying and resolving delays or bottlenecks proactively.
Ensure all documentation (e.g., work orders, compliance records) is complete and accurate.
Support compliance with all relevant industry regulations, including TCCA, FAA, EASA, or other applicable authorities.
Facilitate daily or weekly production meetings to align teams on progress and issues.
Implement and maintain system to assess production efficiency.
Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to support process improvements and corrective actions.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support departmental and company objectives.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Technical writing skills;
Ability to interpret technical instructions;
Ability to define problems, collect data, and organize records in a logical and clearly defined fashion;
Able to demonstrate a motivated approach to work including the ability to plan, prioritize and work under pressure to meet set deadlines with good follow up and documentation skills;
Experience with all Microsoft technologies and applications;
Ability to analyze operational requirements and assess data for correctness;
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
Able to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment;
Good interpersonal and communication skills - customer focused;
CERTIFICATE Requirements:
Two to five years related experience or equivalent experience and training in QA
Experience working in a Transport Canada Civil Aviation certified facility; and
Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9110 and/or AS9120; and
Experience with MRP/ERP systems is an asset;
