Our Aylmer, Ontario facility specializes in the production of infused pre-rolls and features automated vape filling capabilities.

Chemist



Reporting to the Lab Supervisor, the Chemist operates in accordance with best practices, policies, procedure and applicable acts and regulations. The successful candidate will have strong decision making and leadership skills and will be a hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail. You are a resourceful and creative problem solver that shows initiative, able to work individually as well as in a team environment, a quick learner and are adaptable to different situations. You also have an ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and changing work environment, are highly organized and a fast learner.



Key Responsibilities:



Work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures following good laboratory practices; Operate and maintain instruments and equipment, primarily using HPLC and GCMS; Collaborate to enhance techniques for the analysis of cannabis via HPLC and GCMS Follow Organigram's GPPs/GMPs, SOPs and Cannabis Act; Interpret and report results; Responsible for comprehensive record keeping; Help develop and validate methods and equipment; Design protocol and conduct process validation studies; Design protocol and conduct product stability testing; Manage testing consumables supply inventory; Assist with development and training of standard operating procedures (SOP's),work instructions, etc.; Other tasks as required to pivot with business needs.

Qualifications:



BSc degree in Science, Chemistry or Biochemistry, or related degree at minimum; Must have HPLC experience; GCMS experience would be an asset Previous experience in a Quality role in a manufacturing environment (preferably food or pharmaceuticals),GLP, GMP; Energetic, career minded professional, a focus on solutions and a commitment to outstanding performance; Quick learner with ability to work in a fast paced & changing environment; Impeccable attention to detail Numerical and analytical ability; Work independently and as a team and with a sense of urgency; A logical and independent mind; The motivation and ability to solve complex problems, takes initiative & follows through; Theoretical and practical knowledge of analytical techniques; Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Proven ability to interact effectively with a diverse group and with in a team environment; Proven ability to deliver to specific deadlines; Strong Communication (written and verbal)skills; Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure
