Your Team:
Join the Compliance team at Flair as a Quality Assurance Auditor, a detail-oriented professional with a passion for safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will conduct audits, support departments in meeting regulatory standards, and help foster a process-driven culture that ensures safe and efficient operations across the airline. The Quality Assurance Auditor will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, balancing strong analytical skills with effective customer service while upholding company policies. You will play a key role in promoting operational excellence, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with teams across the organization to implement solutions. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, you will work closely with multiple departments, bringing strong communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate is detail-focused, thrives in dynamic environments, and is motivated by the challenge of ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the airline. While primarily office-based, this position requires frequent travel, sometimes on short notice, to support operational needs and engage directly with teams across Flair Airlines.
This position is based on-site at any of our offices in Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), or Vancouver (YVR).
A Day in the Life:
As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you will:
Conduct internal audits across all functions to ensure compliance with regulations and approved manuals under the Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) and Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
Lead and support both internal and external audits.
Develop, review, and update audit checklists and reports as required.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, Transport Canada, and external clients/customers.
Document audit concerns, findings, and non-conformances with accuracy and detail.
Ensure proper retention and safeguarding of all audit-related records.
Monitor compliance with audit program requirements.
Analyze corrective action plans and evaluate their effectiveness.
Integrate relevant processes into the quality assurance audit program.
Maintain and develop comprehensive audit checklists for all functions and approved manuals.
Actively participate in Quality Assurance department meetings and initiatives.
Report discrepancies in compliance, efficiency, or safety to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance.
Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by the company.
What You Bring to the Role:

Education:
+ Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance, Safety Management, or a related field is required.
+ Certification in Quality ISO 9001 standard (preferred).
Experience:
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the aviation industry (preferred).
+ Minimum of three (3) years of auditing experience (required).
+ Experience in document and records management within a regulated environment (asset).
+ Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) experience (asset).
+ Experience with IOSA auditing (asset).
Skills and Abilities:
+ Extensive knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), Commercial Air Service Standards (CASS), Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR), and other aviation-related regulations.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Flexibility to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice.
