IBI Group's Development teams within our Intelligence division deliver complex solutions and push the limits of technology solutions. Our talented groups of systems professionals do more than just write code and debug - they make a significant impact on the design and development of state-of-the-art projects. IBI Group's Toronto office is searching for a QA Analyst to join its growing and dynamic web team. This individual will be responsible for performing test planning, execution for a number of products we develop at IBI Group!

Most of the Things You'll Work On:

  • Work as part of passionate web team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process
  • Develop detailed testing procedures - test plans, test scenarios, test cases for complex projects and products
  • Be meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test results
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal (day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written forms (test artifacts)
  • Ensure that all tests are executed and provide regular feedback to the team
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Be a creative thinker who can quickly identify and test for functional 'edge cases' outside of expected functionality
Qualifications

You'll Need To Have:
  • Minimum University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related discipline
  • Ideally 3 to 4 years of experience in software quality assurance working on complex projects and products including minimum 1 year of experience in automation testing
  • Responsible for creation, preparation, review, development and execution of test cases with defects tracked in defect management system
  • Experience with waterfall or Agile software development
  • Develop test plans and test scripts, execute functional and non-functional test cases and maintain test data ensuring maximum test coverage
  • Be meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test results
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycles
  • Own all aspects of a program from a QA perspective including but not limited to manual testing, functional testing, database testing, and regression testing
  • Programming experience in high level languages like java, C#, python
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycles; specifically, automated QA processes in agile development environments
  • Hands-on working experience in writing, executing automated test suites using selenium frameworks
  • Nice to have SQL Queries experience to fetch data from various databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills with a customer first mentality

Located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects.
