IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

Reporting to the Team Leader, Quality Assurance, this Quality Assurance Analyst role is responsible for the improvement and maintenance of online gaming software and quality using functional and technical specifications for Information Technology (IT) services. Gaming activities include Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), Lottery and Online Gambling web sites. Using defined and new QA automation methodologies, the QA Analyst will assist online gaming and project teams through the iteration planning process, development of test environments, test plans and automation frameworks, automation scripts, setup and test execution, tracking and creating test reports, documenting acceptance and deployment approvals, development of quality assurance standards and business case/project support.

In addition to strong consulting and reporting skills, the successful candidate must have demonstrated experience with problem solving; determining operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, requirements refinement, writing technical documentation, managing technical environments, building/monitoring virtual environments, and estimating and timeline management. The QA Analyst will participate in cross functional teams starting at the product requirements stage through to deployment.

A significant responsibility of this role will be to use sound technical, analytical and process knowledge to not only identify issues, but to work closely within the team to determine the cause and present solutions to ensure issues are eliminated or mitigated. Excellent written and verbal communication is required as is a keen interest in the continuous improvement of process quality and efficiency of the project execution. This role will work closely with stakeholders at every stage of the project.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Computer Systems Technology diploma or a related university degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • A minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Quality Assurance Automation and systems analysis roles.
This includes experience with:
  • Proficient at decomposing requirements and developing test cases for projects of simple to high complexity.
  • Experience in software development or automated testing.
  • Experience preparing test data, executing tests and verifying results and logging issues.
  • Experience with unit testing, system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
  • Experience working in the gaming domain.
Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
  • Experience with test automation frameworks, tool development and scripting
  • Experience with C#, Selenium, NUnit, playwright or similar automation toolset
  • Experience with ESB/Integration Hubs like Mulesoft or similar tools
  • Experience in testing EGM and VLT integration with gaming software
  • Experience testing in different environments including web and mobile
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with iOS and google play app testing
