Overview


Userful is looking for a QA Analyst with a good understanding of QA best practices, and an interest in constantly improving the way things work. This role will work in a small functional-focused team within our broader QA team, and help to improve the overall quality focus of all of our products.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with testing software in conjunction with hardware, some history dealing with Enterprise-class QA practices, and ability to take the lead on initiatives. Experience in creating automated testing scripts to cover regression scenarios would be a great asset.

Key Responsibilities

Work within a team of Quality Assurance and Development professionals Actively participate in the definition of new features by providing feedback and experience-based guidance Take the initiative in helping to define best practices, standards, and processes for the QA team, and passing those on to other team members Help to coordinate activities of the technical testing team across project and support needs Work with QA Leads to identify areas of low test coverage and high risk, and plan to fill those gaps Organize, create, and maintain test cases to cover existing functionality, and new features Determine risk and estimate work required for the technical testing team Recommend improvements to business processes and systems to improve efficiency and reduce cost Help to push a quality focus for all involved participants throughout the lifecycle of a product Document found issues, and write clear bug reports detailing these issues and the potential problems they may create Learn new QA-related skills and share them to improve overall team capabilities Assist support groups as required to find solutions and workarounds for identified issues

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of technical experience in Software Quality Assurance Understanding of Quality Assurance best practices, and tools such as issue tracking systems and test case management systems Ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts and apply that knowledge in fast-paced projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create clear documentation, and present findings and methods to team members or users of varying technical skill levels Able to help develop skills of other team members through training sessions, and cooperative work Experience working with a variety of applications and technologies Experience working on various integrations like Power BI, Tableau and Salesforce applications. Experience in testing LDAP and SAML integrations to ensure secure and reliable authentication and access control across systems. Able to review complex requirements and identify deficiencies and issues requiring clarification Able to be a team player, and also capable of taking the lead on project milestones with minimum of supervision A post-secondary degree or technical diploma You must be eligible to work in Canada
