MacEwan University is seeking a Quality and Standards Administrator for a full-time continuing opportunity with the Office of the University Registrar.


Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Admissions, Recruitment and Transfer, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, documenting, and maintaining standards and best practices in domestic and international admissions and transfer credit. You will also develop quality assurance and internal audit practices and processes to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of applications.


Key responsibilities include:

Collecting, analyzing, and documenting data and information on domestic and international education systems to inform the development of standards used in admission evaluations and policies and procedures in the following areas: + Canadian provincial and territorial jurisdictions, Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB)
+ Accreditation/recognition status of institutions, academic programming, and credit and grading systems in international jurisdictions
+ Internal and external course and program evaluation for establishing transfer articulation agreements to facilitate transfer credit evaluation in accordance with University policy, Pan-Canadian Protocol on the Transferability of University Credits, and the Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer (ACAT) guidelines;
Developing quality assurance procedures and methods for the review and approval of the Manager, Admissions Operations and the Associate Registrar; Regularly reviewing the university's program and course changes for impacts to evaluation criteria and transfer agreements and collaborate with academic departments and Faculties/Schools to modify, add, or discontinue standards and/or agreements as required; Facilitating the review of transfer articulation proposals with academic departments and Faculties/Schools and consult with partner institutions as required; and Working with Functional Analyst(s) to build and maintain evaluation and transfer credit rules that reflect transfer articulation decisions in Campus Solutions to facilitate the timely and accurate auto-evaluation of transfer credit.

QUALIFICATIONS



A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a post-secondary institution in the evaluation of Canadian and/or international education and in determining admission eligibility and transfer credit. Experience in developing quality assurance and/or audit processes and protocols is considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
