Job Overview: Quality and Production Assistant



We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Quality and Production Assistant

to support our manufacturing operations and quality assurance processes. This is a dual-role position with the responsibility to support the daily product processes, while also ensuring that all products meet the companies established quality standards. The ideal candidate will be willing to work on packaging and production lines and open to 'rolling up their sleeves' to help maintain rigorous quality standards while they serve as the key link between the production and quality control teams.

Key Responsibilities



Quality Control (QC) Inspections:

Performing regular inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications and standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

Accurately documenting all quality control activities, test results, inspection reports, and non-conformities. They also help prepare reports for management review.

Monitoring Production:

Monitoring production processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and hygiene rules.

Issue Resolution:

Identifying and reporting quality issues or deficiencies, assisting in root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with other departments.

Material and Inventory Management:

Staging and organizing raw materials and work-in-progress inventory, keeping accurate records of material usage, and assisting with regular inventory counts.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

Assisting with the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of production equipment and machinery, ensuring safe operation and cleanliness of the workspace.

Compliance:

Ensuring all activities follow relevant health and safety protocols and industry-specific regulations.

Experience & qualifications



Prior Manufacturing Experience

or familiarity with manufacturing environments is preferred but not required

Knowledge of quality

inspection techniques, QA/QC procedures, and quality management systems is a plus

Attention to Detail:

A meticulous eye for detail is crucial for identifying defects and ensuring product conformity.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and documentation.

Basic Computer Skills:

Proficiency in using computers for data collection reports, and communication.

Physical Stamina:

The role often involves physical work, such as standing for long periods and lifting (up to 40lbs).
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in quality control and manufacturing processes within a small, but fast growing and dynamic team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.68-$23.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Work Location: In person
