Position Summary:

Reporting to the Quality & Risk Coordinator/ Quality Accreditation & Planning Coordinator, the Quality Accreditation and Risk Program Associate provides comprehensive administrative and analytical support across multiple health system quality domains. This position serves as a key resource to both the

Risk Management Coordinator

and

Accreditation Program Coordinator

, supporting organizational readiness and safety initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for managing and monitoring occurrence reporting systems (e.g., RL6), supporting data collection and analysis, facilitating communication between departments, and preparing reports that contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority (IERHA).


This out-of-scope role requires a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support accreditation compliance, risk management processes, and quality improvement initiatives. This individual will be involved with providing support to the IERHA Risk portfolio, including, but not limited to assisting with claims management, Corporate Risk Register, RL reports, Risk Assessment checklists, Annual HIROC reporting, Vis boards, Risk and Quality related presentations. This individual will also assist with collection of data and displaying data in meaningful ways for the organization and other duties. The position of Quality Accreditation & Risk Program functions in a manner consistent with, and supports the mission, vision and values of the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority.

Qualifications:



Post-secondary education in risk, planning, and /or improvement. Risk Or a combination of education and experience. Excellent working knowledge of computer software, hardware and networks. Experience in maintaining business applications and software. Experience with Online Occurrence reporting (RL). Three (3) or more years of related experience working in a decision support or analysist role. Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team. Demonstrated effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with individuals and groups. Demonstrated ability to adapt and apply knowledge/skills in a variety of environments cross a variety of electronic systems and applications. Evidence of ongoing professional development. Demonstrated ability to work and make decisions both independently and interdependently. Valid Manitoba driver's license. Mental and physical ability to meet the demands of the position. Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to communicate in more than one language would be considered an asset. Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions. Completes and maintains a satisfactory pre-employment security check.
