Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Automation Specialist to join our Quality Management Office team. As a Test Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving consistent test automation practices across our organization. You will lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks, establish best practices, provide technical guidance, and support the Test Automation growth of Product teams. Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of standardized test automation frameworks and strategies that are scalable and maintainable which product teams across the organization can leverage.

Establish and promote best practices for test automation, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability of automation assets.

Assess the test automation requirements of Product teams and provide recommendations and solutions accordingly.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams in planning, implementing, and maintaining test automation solutions.

Conduct regular assessments of existing automation practices and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Develop and implement best practices and standards for UI and API test automation across the organization.

Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to educate teams on test automation best practices and tools.

Drive the adoption and integration of test automation into the organization\'s software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in test automation, tools, and frameworks, and recommend their adoption as appropriate.

Collaborate with other members of the CoE team to share knowledge, contribute to CoE initiatives, and promote a culture of excellence.

Mentor and guide teams in implementing effective UI and API test automation practices and strategies.

Conduct assessments of existing test automation processes and frameworks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.

Provide technical expertise and support to teams in troubleshooting test automation issues and challenges.

Collaborate with QA and development teams to integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline and agile development processes.

Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of UI and API test automation efforts.

Communicate and present test automation strategies, progress, and achievements to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications

10+ years professional experience in a technical role.

6+ years\' experience implementing UI and API test automation frameworks and driving their adoption.

Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with creating onboarding material of Test Automation Frameworks and Guidelines for Test Automation Analysts.

Proven experience as a Test Automation Specialist Lead, with a focus on UI and API test automation.

Strong expertise in UI test automation frameworks and tools, such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Appium and Flutter Driver.

Proficiency in API test automation frameworks and tools, such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.

Experience with Performance Testing approaches and tools such as JMeter or Lighthouse considered an asset.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide teams effectively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical automation solutions.

Experience in assessing test automation needs, recommending solutions, and providing guidance to teams.
