We are a leading structural steel fabrication company in Calgary seeking a
CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector
to ensure top-quality welding standards on our projects. This position is needed ASAP.What You'll Do:
Inspect welded joints to CSA W47.1 & W59 standards Perform dimensional checks on fitted assemblies Review WPS/PQR and monitor welding activities Maintain inspection records and ensure compliance Collaborate with supervisors/Managers and Designers/engineers to resolve quality issues
You Bring:
CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector certification (
required
) 2+ years' experience in structural steel inspection Knowledge of CSA W47.1/W59 standards Attention to detail and strong communication skills read and interpret blueprints and welding drawingsBonus Skills / Assets:
Experience in steel structural projects Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings NDT certifications (MT, PT, UT, RT)
