We have an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician. Work Schedule Our facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our technicians work 12-hour shifts. This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:15 am with some flexibility required o Week One - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday o Week Two - Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday o Repeat What you get with us: \xc3\xbc Full-time work \xc3\xbc $21.35 to $22.50 per hour to start and night shift permium \xc3\xbc Benefits (health, dental, life insurance, prescriptions) \xc3\xbc RRSP Matching \xc3\xbc Eligible for an annual bonus \xc3\xbc Boot Allowance, Costco Memberships \xc3\xbc Opportunity to apply for open positions within the company \xc3\xbc Support for professional development \xc3\xbc Company events and social activities What will you do: \xc2\xb7 Perform all physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses required of the product from receiving the raw materials to the finished product packaging. \xc2\xb7 Monitor and implement food safety and good manufacturing practices in the operation. \xc2\xb7 Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments based on the required frequency and product specifications. \xc2\xb7 Help diagnose problems or non-conformance issues throughout the production process and work with appropriate production employees to ensure the quality and food safety of the product. \xc2\xb7 Data entry into the ERP system \xc2\xb7 Review and complete documents and records and follow instructions corresponding to the specified production run. \xc2\xb7 Maintain laboratory area in a clean and orderly fashion, oversee the inventory of laboratory supplies, and manage QC samples. What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for: \xc2\xb7 A food science graduate or a college degree in a scientific discipline. \xc2\xb7 Experience in the food and beverage industry in a laboratory setting is preferable. \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated problem-solving skills, focused on the ability to plan and prioritize with a high level of detail orientation \xc2\xb7 Proficient in Windows, Excel and Word. \xc2\xb7 Cooperative and strong communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 we need team players! \xc2\xb7 A thirst for learning, growing and advancing your QC competence \xc2\xb7 Ability to commit to a very busy summer season with extended hours Mid-June to Mid-August annually.
