The QC Analyst is responsible for ensuring the overall Quality of raw materials, in-process products and finished products. The primary duties include performing inspections, collecting samples, analyzing samples and submitting samples for laboratory analysis. The QC Analyst is also responsible for maintaining the sanitation program as it relates to equipment, personnel, premises and production processes.
Specific duties and responsibilities
Perform inspections, sampling and analysis of raw materials, in-process products and finished products according to SOPs and analytical techniques.
Submitting samples for laboratory analyses, releasing materials and performing pre-packaging and pre-shipment inspections.
Inspect and sample packaging and labeling materials according to SOPs and applicable documentation.
Complete In-Process Testing and Sanitation Verification procedures, including documentation of results and investigation of Out of Specifications.
Ensure the timely inspection and release of production rooms following room takedown cleaning.
Oversee the maintenance, calibration and operation of various equipment, including cleaning, calibration and quality control documentation.
Maintain inventory of QC supplies.
Support and maintain Good Production Practices and Standard Operating Procedures through involvement, review and improvement initiatives.
Support continuous improvement and quality objectives.
Maintain current laboratory documents and assist in improving analytical processes.
Knowledge and skills
1. Education and experience
B.Sc. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field.
Experience working in a cannabis production or laboratory environment is preferred.
Knowledge of government regulations pertaining to the production of cannabis, pharmaceuticals or food products.

Provide visibility to QA team and QA management to saved and shared QA/QC documents.
