We offer: Benefits, Pension Job Type: Full Time Schedule: 8+ Hours/day, weekdays, possible schedule changes as per Operational Requirements Location: Bruderheim, AB \xe2\x80\x93 570079 Range Rd 204, non-camp position, approximately 12 km north of Bruderheim on Range Road 204 Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with aggregate and/or proppant testing according to API, CSA, and ASTM standards \xc2\xb7 Experience using, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment \xc2\xb7 Experience managing small teams is considered an asset \xc2\xb7 Reliable personal transportation and driver\xe2\x80\x99s license \xc2\xb7 Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) or other quality system Pre-employment: \xc2\xb7 Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test) \xc2\xb7 Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation \xc2\xb7 Mask Fit Testing \xc2\xb7 Baseline Testing (respiratory) QAQC Technician Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Analysis of materials at the plant including use of excel and other specialized software on computer. \xc2\xb7 Supporting the production team in ensuring production efficiency and quality goals are met. \xc2\xb7 Working directly with the production coordinators to ensure samples are collected and analyzed efficiently and information is communicated to the plant operators. \xc2\xb7 Ensuring implementation of policies and procedures throughout the QAQC process. \xc2\xb7 Perform routine inspections of lab space and materials by executing standard testing protocols. \xc2\xb7 Obtain samples and perform sizing and quality tests of washed or finished sand grades. \xc2\xb7 Train samplers on procedures and methods used in the QAQC process. \xc2\xb7 Ensure the lab area is kept clean and in good working order. \xc2\xb7 Perform tests and analyze results from defective or suspect units to determine the causes of the failure. \xc2\xb7 Manage and oversee the calibration, operation, and routine maintenance of lab equipment. \xc2\xb7 Identification of improvement areas, develop of solutions, and ability to implement solutions. \xc2\xb7 Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required. \xc2\xb7 Promote, execute and adhere to the company\xe2\x80\x99s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. *This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position. QAQC Technician Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Experience in a QAQC role within a processing facility \xe2\x80\x93 either mine or plant is preferred. \xc2\xb7 Diploma or degree in civil engineering, geotechnical, or another similar field. \xc2\xb7 Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or eligible to be certified with the Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET), Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Alberta (APEGA) or similar Designation/Association. \xc2\xb7 Field and laboratory experience in inspection and testing of construction materials. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of appropriate testing standards. \xc2\xb7 Ability to operate field instruments and equipment. \xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills (both verbal and written). \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
