Position Overview
We are seeking a QA Technician Coordinator/Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the Quality Assurance team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, SQF, and regulatory standards, leading quality control efforts, and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on QA experience, and the ability to foster a culture of food safety and quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation and verification of SQF, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety programs, ensuring compliance with allergen control, traceability, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Coordinate and support QA Technicians in performing quality control checks throughout production, reviewing and validating test results, monitoring trends, and addressing non-conformances.
Inspect raw materials and packaging materials to ensure they meet required quality standards.
Maintain accurate QA documentation, including batch records, COAs, complaints, and label reviews, ensuring all records are audit-ready.
Verify packaging labels for accuracy, compliance, and traceability.
Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Collaborate with R&D and production teams during trials and product launches, promoting a strong food safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor pest control and sanitation programs, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to ensure preventive measures are upheld.
Support staff training on workplace health, hygiene, and wellness practices.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' QA experience in food manufacturing (bakery experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, allergen management, and audit processes.
Familiarity with production processes, quality systems, and labeling requirements.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA reporting systems.
