Summary:

We are looking for a full-time QA Supervisor to add to our growing cannabis production company located in St. Thomas, Ontario. Reporting to the site QA VP you will be responsible for supporting the quality operations including training, auditing, document control, record keeping, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. You will also manage documentation, coordinating activities with production teams and keeping track of production inventory. The individual fit for this role has a strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all staff are following the approved SOPs, Good Production Practices (GPP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Ensure production teams are following the established procedures and policies for production of cannabis products
  • Assist in drafting and implementing new SOPs to ensure continuous compliance
  • Keeping track of production and shipping documents to ensure that inventory on hand
  • is up to date
  • Review production batch records (PBRs) for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist QA lead in investigating complaints, completion of deviation and CAPA reports
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving in charge for tracking the cannabis, raw material,
  • and production supplies
  • Perform daily inspections of production areas including sanitation checks, scales
  • calibration, packaging monitoring, product labels control etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience in Quality Assurance in a GMP/GPP environment, Cannabis, pharmaceutical, agriculture, research and/or food and beverage industry
  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in science or a related discipline
  • Clear passion for and solid understanding of cannabis and cannabis-based products
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to an evolving
  • environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude
  • Health Canada security clearance preferred
