Main Duties and Responsibilities:Monitors quality improvement projects Audits implementation of quality system for effectiveness by verifying operation activities to Gate Gourmet, Customer and Regulatory specification Monitors corrective action system In conjunction with the QA Manager and QA Supervisor, educates (trains) unit staff and managers in quality related issues Plays a key role in developing a comprehensive quality program In conjunction with the QA Manager and QA Supervisor, implements the quality system detailed in the quality manual Champions the total quality improvement efforts and initiates problem solving efforts and assures implementation Drives prevention vs. detection of defects Coordinates actions to prevent the occurrences of nonconformities Maintains customer compliance resolution Responsible for the maintenance of key performance metrics for the Quality organization Controls Food safety and Quality of processing and manufacturing within the business Supports customer audits, government audits to meet compliance Verifies and ensures company policies and procedures are followed Ensures quality specifications and requirements are followed and met Develops Standard Operating Procedures Responsible for safety, quality and compliance to customer specification Trains and monitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity and security with minimum labor and costs Responsible for performance evaluation, coaching, counseling and preparing corrective action for employees and liaises appropriately with HR and other support functions

Qualifications
Education:College degree in related discipline and knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and/or Quality Management

Work Experience:Minimum 1 year experience in Food safety control practices (GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP) and quality program control required Minimum 2 years experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, restaurant or catering environment or equivalent experience in the related field preferred Experience working in the airline industry would be an asset

Job Skills:
Minimum skill requirements:Intermediate level Microsoft office tool skills (Excel, Word) Knowledge of quality auditing, inspection methods Detail oriented Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task Strong interpersonal skills, interact well with multiple departments as required Able to work with little supervision Excellent reading, writing, and oral communication skills

Preferred skills:Excellent analytical skills Basic statistics calculation, and/or mathematical comprehension Project management skills Knowledge of Public Health regulations HACCP certified and/or Food Safety training a plus Basic lean, six sigma knowledge, and/or continuous improvement understanding a plus

Principales taches et responsabilites :Suivre les projets d'amelioration de la qualite Auditer la mise en oeuvre du systeme qualite pour en verifier l'efficacite en verifiant les activites operationnelles selon les specifications Gate Gourmet, des clients et les reglementations gouvernementales Suivre le systeme d'action corrective Dispense la formation aux employes personnel et les gestionnaires de l'unite aux questions liees a la qualite et securite alimentaire en collaboration avec le responsable AQ et le superviseur AQ Contribuer au developpement du programme de qualite Contribuer a l'implantation du systeme qualite tel que detaille par le manuel qualite en collaboration avec le responsable AQ et le superviseur AQ, Promouvoir les efforts globaux d'amelioration de la qualite, initie des demarches de resolution de problemes et assure la mise en oeuvre Incite a la Prevention vs. Detection des defauts et Reagir Coordonner les actions pour prevenir la recurrence de non-conformites Assurer la resolution des conformites client Maintenir les indicateurs cles de performance pour le service de la Qualite Controler la securite alimentaire et la qualite de la transformation et de la fabrication au sein de l'unite Participer activement lors des audits clients, les audits gouvernementaux pour assurer a la conformite Verifier et veiller que les politiques et procedures de l'entreprise soit respectees S'assurer que les specifications et exigences de qualite sont respectees et remplies Elaborer des Procedures Operationnelles Standardisees Responsable de la securite alimentaire, de la qualite et de la conformite aux specifications du client Former et surveiller les employes par rapport aux procedures de travail en place afin d'assurer une securite et une productivite maximales tout en ayant un minimum de main-d'oeuvre et de couts Responsable de l'evaluation des performances, du coaching, du conseil et de la preparation des actions correctives pour les employes, et assure la liaison appropriee avec les RH et d'autres fonctions de soutien

Qualifications
Education:Diplome universitaire ou post secondaire dans une discipline connexe et connaissances en securite alimentaire, HACCP et/ou gestion de la qualite

Experience professionnelle :Minimum d'un an d'experience en pratiques de controle de la securite alimentaire (GMP, SOP et HACCP) et en controle qualite des programmes requis Minimum 2 ans d'experience dans un secteur a fort volume, industrie, production alimentaire, restauration ou traiteur, ou une experience equivalente dans un domaine connexe prefere Une experience dans l'industrie aerienne serait un atout

Competences professionnelles :
Competences minimales requises :Competences intermediaires avec les outils Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Connaissances en audit qualite, methodes d'inspection Oriente detail Competences organisationnelles demontrees, capacite a prioriser les responsabilites et a gerer plusieurs taches a la fois Competences interpersonnelles demontrees, interaction efficace avec plusieurs departements selon les besoins Capable de travailler avec un minimum de supervision Excellentes competences en lecture, ecriture et communication orale

Competences preferees :Excellentes competences analytiques Calcul statistique de base et/ou comprehension mathematique Competences en gestion de projet Connaissance des reglementations gouvernementales de sante publique Une formation certifiee et/ou securite alimentaire HACCP est un atout Approche Lean de base, connaissances six sigma et/ou comprehension de l'amelioration continue sont un avantage
