Job Description

Role: QA Manual Tester (Payments)



Duration: 6+ months



Location: Canada- Remote



We are seeking a skilled QA Manual Tester with a strong background in payment systems testing to join our growing Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing manual test cases for applications that handle financial transactions, payment gateways, and other fintech integrations.

Key Responsibilities:



Design, write, and execute detailed manual test cases for web, mobile, and backend applications with a focus on payment processing flows. Validate various types of payments, including but not limited to credit/debit cards, UPI, wallets, net banking, and third-party gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay). Perform end-to-end testing of payment scenarios: authorization, capture, refund, chargeback, reconciliation, etc. Test integration with external payment service providers (PSPs) and ensure proper handling of response codes and error scenarios. Log detailed, accurate, and reproducible bug reports using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, etc. Collaborate closely with development, product, and business teams to clarify requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Maintain and update test documentation, traceability matrices, and knowledge bases. Support UAT and production verification processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:



10+ years of experience in

manual testing

of web and/or mobile applications. 3+ years of direct experience in

testing payment systems (Payments Testing)

Candidate has to use their own credit card for testing ( Will be reimbursed )

Understanding of payment workflows, transaction lifecycle, and risk/compliance considerations. Familiarity with payment gateways, banking APIs, and PCI-DSS compliance basics. Experience in writing SQL queries for data validation. Proficiency in using bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
