We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Document Control Specialist to join our team at our blending plants just outside of Okotoks where we produce bread mixes, icings, muffin batters, etc. for retail bakeries throughout Western Canada.
Responsibilities
Maintain food safety documents for the company.
Respond to customer food safety documentation requests.
Request food safety documentation from suppliers.
Work with senior QA team to improve SQF food safety programs.
Work with Director of Research & Development on various documentation needs, including formulation changes and customer based requirements.
Maintain Kosher database.
Draft new product specification sheets.
Develop and/or verify all new product nutritional profiles.
Compile various reporting, including trend reports.
Verification of monitoring activities.
Collaborate with site management to ensure food safety and quality assurance standards are met in order to ensure compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and best practices.
Provide back-up support for QA technicians on various monitoring activities on the production floor, as needed.
Experience
Proven experience in a food safety/quality assurance role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Knowledge of GFSI schemes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

Bachelor's degree

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
