The Opportunity:
Reporting to Quality Assurance (QA) Lead, the Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for learning, teaching, implementing, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards in all departments related to all quality systems. In addition, the QA Associate is responsible for assisting the team with Certificate of Analysis (CoA) review, label approvals, protocols, deviations, corrective and preventive action (CAPAs), change controls, and risk assessments.

As a Quality Assurance Associate you will:
  • Assists the Quality Assurance Team in managing Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Review batch records and release products for sale as per company policies
  • Provide solutions to reported customer complaints through change controls and/or CAPAs
  • Action on protocols and deviations to ensure the company\xe2\x80\x99s product quality standards are met
  • Review and approve labels to ensure compliance with regulations and customer satisfaction
  • Write, review, and update SOPs and policies to ensure continuous compliance
  • Review, create and archive CoAs, file and archive all other private brand documents
  • Work closely with other branches of Quality and cross-departmentally as required
  • Complete all other tasks related to the position, as assigned by the Senior Quality Manager
As a Quality Assurance Associate you bring:
  • Bachelor of Science, or Diploma in a related scientific discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience in Quality, Regulatory, or Operations in a Cannabis Industry or Related field
  • Knowledge of the Cannabis Act, Health Canada, Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP) regulations
  • Previous experience in either the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and electronic databases
  • Excellent analytical skills and above average attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Capable of multitasking with minimal supervision
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
