We take great pride in contributing to the communities where we live with an ever-constant eye to the global investment markets.We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Products & Technology team in the role of Quality Assurance Analyst.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:Validate and review test coverage against business requirements / user stories / product backlog itemsContribute to the identification and escalation of gaps within the user stories and/or technical user stories documents that could impact testingAnalyze, understand, and implement Agile testing practicesEnsure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.Work collaboratively in an agile team with QA Engineers, QA Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Agile LeadsAssist the Agile team to refine User Story Acceptance Criteria, Definition of Ready and the Definition of DoneEnsure the appropriate testing tasks are identified and created during sprint planningExecute test cases and document results in a test management toolConfigure and manage test data across all testing environmentsIn time, work with automated test scripts to identify issues, eventually contributing to the development of new scripts to reduce manual testing effortTo succeed in this role, you have:Post-secondary education / accreditation in job related field or related experienceGood understanding of Pension Administration and our various applications like MSS, e-access, MyOMERS and BRUCEAbility to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlinesAptitude to think out of the box and have good problem-solving skillsGood communication skills and ability to share and exchange ideas with your team members and managementHigh integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive informationAble to work independently and as part of a teamPPAC/CEBS Certification or currently enrolled preferredKnowledge and understanding SQL and database concepts will be an assetEagerness to constantly learn and update your skills in our cross-platform environment, and you like to share knowledge with othersAn interest to learn in coding / computer programmingIf you had prior experience with coding JavaScript specifically it be a plus but not mandatoryWe believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members.
