Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Retail risk Analytics Team. Support risk stakeholders. Responsible for dev regulatory models.
• Project: Retail risk regulatory models project.
• The Retail Risk Analytics Engineering (RRAE) team supports various stakeholders Global Risk Management (GRM) - Risk Models and Analytics Team, Regulatory Capital, IFRS9 provisioning & Enterprise stress Testing team in the implementation of regulatory and non-regulatory initiatives, utilizing both hybrid approach.
• The role will require to work on a project including implementation of new AIRB models for OSFI submission and also moving existing tech-stack to cloud.
• Reason: New Project. In Development phase.

Typical Day in Role:

• Work with BAs to understand requirements and design solution
• Provide hand-on development, optimizing and simplifying the codes and ensure code quality standards are met.
• Unit test code changes & help BAs and stakeholders in debugging issues
• Assist in task planning & estimation.
• Assist with production implementation of changes

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 3-4 years of experience as Python developer
• 4 years of experience with SQL
• 2+ years of recent experience with GCP cloud
• 2+ years of Exp with Bitbucket and GIT
• 2 + years of Experience with scheduling tools like Airflow

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Previous exp with retail risk models is highly preferred
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is nice to have
• Previous recent experience with top 5 banks is highly preferred.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with a cross functional Teams effectively
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to work with both external and internal stakeholders

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or related work experience
• Certified with GCP or Python is nice to have

Best vs. Average Candidate:

• The ideal candidate would have experience with retail risk models and strong development skills with Python and Python libraries. Recent exp with GCP and Airflow experience

Candidate Review & Selection:

• 2 Rounds of interviews

o 1st- Video Interview (1 hour) with HM and technical development manager: Technical based questions based on previous experience.
o 2nd (1 hour): Behavioral and Tech interview to gauge the team fit.
