The Pursuits Manager reports directly to and works closely with the Vice President. This is a team role in a fast-paced environment. He/she assists in management of bid opportunities, engagement with customers on technical requirements, solutioning and technical sales.
The Pursuits Manager helps ensure strategic relationships and project opportunities are advanced from proposal to award. This may include stakeholder communications, specification support, engagement of bidding contractors or multi-bids, etc. The Pursuits Manager will also collaborate and support other members of the Water & Environmental Team including representatives and resellers worldwide conducting active project pursuits.?
Additionally, this role will expand to support for a Senior Sales Leader in channel sales in the Public Water sector. This would involve maintaining tight ongoing supportive relationships with our key customers and specifying engineers, as well as 3 party technology representative firms worldwide, supporting their bids.

Duties:
Manage bid and pursuit processes directly in partnership with the Vice President
Liaise with channel sales representatives to advance bid opportunities from head office
Coordinate estimating and purchasing activities with Octaform's Estimating team and delivery partners
Work with subcontractors to have them deliver supply and install bids for Octaform to project owners or EPC or General Contractors
Participate in customer meetings, specifier and contractor meetings
Manage and track all active pursuits, timelines and next steps
Generate RFP responses and respond to and generate RFIs
Manage and develop procurement needs, tender RFPs for sub-components
Specification support and procurement process assistance from Director of Quality and other Engineering staff.
With support, drive sales process forward from a project management perspective, utilizing key team members to overcome various decision points (Engineering and Specification, Owner-related, Warranty, Construction and Estimating by 3 Parties)
Participate in specification discussions as required
Build relationships and trust throughout process and maintain long-term relationships
Able to understand sales and competitive product positioning for specifications
Provide general execution and response support to your counterpart in outside sales (Vice President)
Maintain detailed records and deadline monitoring using tools provided - (Salesforce.com, MS project, SharePoint, Excel and Procore etc.)
Support the ISO team in general compliance and advancement of ISO standards and compliance
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be a current resident of Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley
5 years in estimating or RFP response?OR 5 years technical sales with team focus
P. Eng or EIT (civil, structural or process engineering preferred)
Experience in estimating or pursuits for heavy construction projects with a large general contractor or EPC firm
Project management experience
Proven capabilities to drive results in multi-stakeholder meetings
5 years' experience in Water, Biogas or Process Engineering
General understanding of heavy construction world, concrete and structural engineering principles
Ability to auditory process and convert to action. Your counterpart is engaged remotely often and may need support by phone-only.
