SUMMARY:

White Ash Group is supporting a leading cannabis processor in the search for a Purchasing & Procurement Specialist to own and optimize purchasing activities across raw materials, consumables, and production inputs.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role sits at the intersection of supply planning, supplier negotiation, cost control, and operational execution. This is a hands-on position suited for someone who enjoys building supplier relationships, managing supply in a regulated environment, and improving purchasing performance through structure and data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own purchasing activities for raw materials (cannabis biomass), consumables, and components required for manufacturing and distribution Plan and manage cannabis biomass supply schedules to support intermediate and finished goods production Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, QA, and Supply Chain to align purchasing with production and inventory needs Implement best practices in procurement to reduce costs while maintaining quality and compliance Develop and execute cost-effective purchasing and sourcing strategies Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, building long-term, win-win partnerships Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms Renegotiate key supplier and service agreements annually Maintain and update purchasing and supplier data within the ERP system Track purchasing performance, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles Experience in cannabis, pharma, medical, food, or beverage industries preferred Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written); Spanish an asset Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel Prior experience working with ERP systems Working knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn quickly Strong negotiation skills with a commercial mindset Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable producing reports and metrics Agile and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment Proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

White Ash Group soutient un transformateur de cannabis de premier plan dans la recherche d'un specialiste en achats et approvisionnements pour posseder et optimiser les activites d'achat sur les matieres premieres, les consommables et les intrants de production.

Relevant du directeur des finances, ce role se situe a l'intersection de la planification de l'approvisionnement, de la negociation avec les fournisseurs, du controle des couts et de l'execution operationnelle. C'est un poste pratique adapte a quelqu'un qui aime etablir des relations avec les fournisseurs, gerer l'offre dans un environnement reglemente et ameliorer la performance d'achat grace a la structure et aux donnees.

RESPONSABILITES :

Ses propres activites d'achat pour les matieres premieres (biomasse de cannabis), les consommables et les composants necessaires a la fabrication et a la distribution Planifier et gerer les calendriers d'approvisionnement en biomasse de cannabis pour soutenir la production de biens intermediaires et finis Collaborer de facon interfonctionnelle avec les operations, la finance, l'assurance qualite et la chaine d'approvisionnement afin d'aligner les achats avec la production et les besoins en inventaire Mettre en oeuvre les meilleures pratiques en approvisionnement pour reduire les couts tout en maintenant la qualite et la conformite Developper et mettre en oeuvre des strategies d'achat et d'approvisionnement rentables Identifiez, evaluez et integrez des fournisseurs fiables, en batissant des partenariats gagnant-gagnant a long terme Dirigez les negociations avec les fournisseurs pour obtenir des conditions commerciales favorables Renegociez chaque annee les ententes cles de fournisseurs et de services Maintenir et mettre a jour les donnees d'achats et de fournisseurs au sein du systeme ERP Suivez la performance des achats, generez des rapports et soutenez la prise de decision basee sur les donnees

FORMATION & EXPERIENCE :

Baccalaureat en affaires, finance, logistique ou gestion de la chaine d'approvisionnement 2 a 4 ans d'experience dans les achats, les achats ou la chaine d'approvisionnement Experience dans les industries du cannabis, pharmaceutique, medical, alimentaire ou boissons est privilegiee Bilingue en francais et en anglais (parle et ecrit); L'espagnol, un atout Solide connaissance pratique de Microsoft Office, surtout d'Excel Experience prealable avec des systemes ERP Connaissances pratiques sur les produits a base de cannabis ou volonte d'apprendre rapidement Solides competences en negociation avec une mentalite commerciale Communicateur clair et confiant, a l'aise pour travailler de facon transversale Analytique, attentif aux details et a l'aise pour produire des rapports et des metriques Agile et adaptable dans un environnement rapide et en evolution Proactif, oriente solutions et axe sur les resultats Solides competences organisationnelles avec la capacite de gerer plusieurs priorites
