Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes. We are a fabric supplier and a manufacturing company for window treatments and bedding.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing fabrics, hardware and window treatment materials. The candidate is responsible for negotiating, reviewing and approving samples, and purchasing materials and supplies necessary for our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and vendor relationships to ensure the timely acquisition of quality products at competitive prices.

Duties

Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms. Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service and timely delivery. Work with suppliers and forwarding agents to move goods and imports. Collaborate with production and pricing departments to understand material needs and specifications. Work closely with designers and purchasing agents to source materials. Identify potential sourcing opportunities and cost-saving measures. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.

Skills

Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles. Proficient in sourcing, buying, and procuring materials and fabrics for manufacturing or production processes. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous pricing and terms. Experience in vendor management, fostering strong relationships with suppliers. Familiarity with MRP systems and their application in inventory management. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
