General Accountability: Lead the procurement team and work collaboratively with Product Managers, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Accounting, and other cross-functional departments to ensure all procurement activities align with ARTG\xe2\x80\x99s business needs. Continuously identify opportunities to diversify the catalogue of suppliers, cost reduction, and on-time delivery to maximize the value of the business to all stakeholders. Manage our inventories and optimize min/max levels among the various locations to ensure production lead times are met and deliveries are on time. Execute vendor management and communicate our requirements, product specifications, and business standards to all our suppliers. Purchasing Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Manage and lead the procurement team ensuring conformance of policies & procedures, goals, and KPIs. Coach, mentor, and detect opportunities for training as needed 2. Plan and execute an efficient end-to-end purchasing cycle in a timely manner 3. Manage supplier\xe2\x80\x99s evaluation & qualifications system, and quality compliance, in coordination with Product Managers 4. Continuously monitor government rules, tariffs, duties, and international trade management 5. Performs negotiations and maintains service contracts for all productions site and raw materials for cost savings 6. Manage all supplier contracts/agreements ensuring compliance with all legal aspects to reduce risks and liabilities 7. Reduce/eliminate the risk of shortage creating redundancy in the supply chain of purchased materials 8. Continuously analyzes, identify, document, and perform cost reduction projects. Track cost savings year over year 9. Identify opportunities for improvement in every step of the purchasing process 10. Keep track of the incoming material delivery schedule and updated communication with Operations and Sales about on-time delivery 11. Ensure the full use of the company ERP System and any other information system and/or resources available 12. Provide regular reporting of procurement KPIs to senior leadership Inventory Management Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Plan and execute inventory management initiatives to control and ensure the inventory is organized, identified, and accurate physically vs books, including but not limited to monthly inventory count and cycle counting 2. Optimize inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, finished goods, WIP, MROs, etc., and plant consumables 3. Keep the optimum level of finished product inventory according to sales forecasts and/or customer agreements 4. Minimize the investment in inventory ensuring the optimum flow of materials into manufacturing Health & Safety Commitment: All employees are responsible to work in a manner that safeguards themselves, their co-workers, and other persons not engaged in the work but present on our site and the environment. Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience in procurement and Inventory Management with 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Logistics and international trade experience
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Business or Operations and/or SCMP or CPIM, ASCM designations (or Canadian equivalent)
  • Leadership and top-notch team management skills to lead a group of procurement professionals
  • Well-developed planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Effective time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to build long-term relationships with vendors in the industry
  • Strong strategic, continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluent in English
