We are a fast-growing packaging company that partners with multiple overseas factories to deliver innovative packaging solutions for distributors and restaurant customers. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Manager to lead our purchasing and inventory operations, optimize supply chain performance, and ensure customers receive what they need, when they need it.

Position Overview



The Purchasing & Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, supplier management, and inventory planning. This role requires strong negotiation skills, experience with overseas sourcing, and the ability to manage both day-to-day operations and long-term supply chain strategies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and will play a critical role in supporting our company's growth.

Key Responsibilities



Purchasing & Supplier Management



Receive customer sales orders and move them into the company project workflow.

Issue supplier purchase orders and ensure accurate, timely fulfillment.

Develop and manage supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing, payment terms, and contracts.

Source and evaluate new suppliers, products, and alternate manufacturing options to maintain quality and cost competitiveness.

Manage manufacturer RFQs (Requests for Quotation).

Develop product costing.

Develop and submit product listing forms to distribution partners.

Inventory Management



Plan, monitor, and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess.

Collect and analyze inventory reports from distribution and 3PL partners to identify anomalies and opportunities.

Provide purchasing suggestions and feedback to distribution partners based on demand and inventory analysis.

Manage ERP systems and integrate tracking tools to ensure real-time visibility and accurate reporting.

Logistics & 3PL Warehouse Coordination



Manage relationships with 3PL partners, including performance monitoring and cost control.

Negotiate terms and costs with 3PL partners to optimize service and budget.

Manage 3PL product listings.

Reporting & Leadership



Provide regular reports to company leadership on purchasing activity, supplier performance, and inventory levels.

Continuously monitor supply chain performance and implement process improvements.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

3+ years of purchasing and inventory management experience.

Proven experience working with overseas suppliers and 3PL partners.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
