DeckMart is looking for a

Purchasing Coordinator

to join our Woodbridge team. As

Purchasing Coordinator,

you will ensure the whole purchasing process is organized and completed in a timely, cost-effective, and ethical manner. The ideal candidate will have effective communication and multi-tasking skills along with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:



Preparing and issuing Purchase Orders, and ensure pricing agreements are updated, and build strong relationships with vendors. Overseeing sales orders to ensure the process runs effectively. Working with the Accounting department to resolve conflicting information from a purchase order compared to a vendor's invoice. Evaluating daily purchasing reports, prioritize purchase orders by critical need; ensure orders meet the optimal levels to maximize profit and sales. Ensuring correct quantity and delivery date of products for clients. Monitor inventory levels to support sales requirements by focusing on delivery schedules to ensure adequate levels are maintained. Verify stock availability from current inventories and maintain stock rotation. Updating purchasing database to ensure all fields are complete and accurate. Other tasks may be assigned.

Qualifications



2-3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in building materials.

Experience in the construction or building industry is preferable.

Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents. Ability to multitask and willingness to grow in the company. Strong record keeping skills and presentation skills. Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner. Experience with accounting software or willingness to learn. Ability to learn and use the company's business processes (email system, accounting, and CRM system).
