Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain stock on hand according to min/max levels.
• Monitor usage on inventory items and adjust min/max qty if required.
• Source replacements for long lead items.
• Verify purchase requisitions; clarify unclear items
• Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications, price and availability
• Obtain price quotations from catalogs and suppliers for new parts.
• Review and verify Bill of Materials from Design team for all new jobs, identify stock items, confirm \xe2\x80\x98quantity on hand\xe2\x80\x99, assign to production jobs, order remaining items
• Liaise with other buyers in the team
• Source non-inventory items from suppliers if required
• Monitoring, following up and expediting orders
• Verify receipts and packing slips
• Manage relationships with vendors to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
• Keep updated records
• Other duties as required

Job Qualifications:

• Excellent computer skills including MS office, minimum of intermediate level in Excel, outlook and word.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong analytical mindset and outstanding organizational skills
• Work in a team environment
• Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
• Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail
• Experience with ERP system
