Job Overview:

MTM is seeking a Buyer to join our team in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely processing of purchase orders, tracking orders, comparing quotes, issuing POs, confirmations, and following up to ensure lead times are on schedule. The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and other team members to meet the company's production and inventory needs.

Responsibilities:

Processing trackers and maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation.

Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers of raw materials, equipment, and supplies required for the company's manufacturing operations.

Comparing quotes from different suppliers to ensure that the best quality and cost-effective materials, equipment, and supplies are sourced.

Issuing purchase orders and confirming deliveries with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.

Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and evaluating supplier performance to identify areas for improvement.

Collaborating with the Supply Chain Manager to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.

Working with the production team to identify and resolve any issues related to materials or supplies.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing setting Demonstrated expertise in negotiation and communication Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel Familiarity with ERP systems is desirable.
