Buyer:
Reporting to the Management, this position is responsible for purchasing and managing inventory required to fulfill sales for multiple branches.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Negotiate cost-effective purchases while maintaining high levels of quality and service.
• Purchase product based on actual and forecasted needs.
• Work closely with the inside/outside sales teams in all branches to understand requirements and sales support.
• Inventory management.
• Communicate cost changes to Managers.
• Maintain and enhance relations with warehouse and branch staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications required:
• Completion of Supply Chain Certificate or equivalent preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience in the construction products industry preferred.
• Computer skills proficiency including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with high degree of accuracy.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills, ability to handle a fast paced workload with changing/competing priorities.
•Previous experience in the construction trades and/or previous purchasing experience with knowledge of power tools & accessories, anchors & fasteners, etc.)• •would be a definite asset.•

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Purchasing: 3 years (preferred)
