We are a solution-driven company where positive attitude and punctuality goes a long way. Our Purchaser/Estimator is key in working in a fast paced, efficient environment, and providing quality control.

Duties include:

Establish a rapport with suppliers.
Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts.
Acquire understanding of all project requirements.
Inventory control.
Develop profitable purchasing strategies (quantity, quality, & delivery)
Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers.
Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics.
Review supplies to ensure quality of product and timeframes for delivery.
Keep updated records such as Purchase Orders and Lead Times.
Attend supplier events, fairs, and exhibitions to keep up-to-date on market trends.
Maintain Gross Profit targets.
Research and source correct parts by application.
Realize parts savings based on targets.
Other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

A minimum of 5yrs of purchasing or purchasing related experience (preference to those that have manufacturing purchasing experience).
Excellent math skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience in procurement.
Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets.
Analytical self-starter with great attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Team player with the ability to work independently.
Ability to work with the shop floor to ensure parts are ordered correctly and arrive in a timely fashion.

Health benefits package including life insurance. Regular hours are 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. Some OT may be required. Comprehensive on-site training.
